My husband has dealt with foot issues since he was a teenager.  You know what I'm talking about, the athletic types that have their sweaty feet in socks and shoes ALL THE TIME.  That is a combination for disaster and he's felt the effects - itching and burning feet, not happy feet.  He's tried all sorts of over-the-counter lotions and potions, but has had very little relief.

Since I seem to find the solutions to his health concerns, he approached me.  I think because my DIY deodorant worked so well, he figured I could find the answer to this problem to.  After some diligent research, I found a recipe I thought looked pretty good. You can find the original article and recipe here.  I made a small adjustment, which I think makes a big difference.  I added a carrier oil.  My preference of carrier oil is fractionated coconut oil (FCO).  FCO not only stretches this amazing concoction of oils (which means it will save you money), it makes application easier too!

Now, time for the test - will this blend REALLY work?  I handed it over to the hubby to find out.  He applied the blend morning and night for just a few days and found immediate relief.  Woohoo!

Are you ready for your problem feet to be happy feet?

Tips for Success

  • Combine the oils in the order of the recipe.  Surprisingly changing up the sequence can change the properties of the blend, which means you may not get the desired results.
  • Use only therapeutic grade essential oils for the best results.  Ask me here what brand I trust for my family.
  • If you try the blend and it doesn't seem to be working for you, increase the strength of the blend by 5 or 10 drops of each essential oil.
  • Apply morning and night - two to three times per day is key when using essential oils for ongoing issues.
  • After your feet are "happy" continue to apply the blend for 2 weeks.  This will help to insure continued happiness and not a horrible and worse flare up!
  • Take off your shoes and socks, get outside and walk on the bare ground - it's good for mind, body, soul AND feet!
  • If you still find you are having an issue, you may need to seriously consider a healthy cleanse and detox.  Check out some more information about that here.
