There is nothing better on a cool autumn evening than a hot cranberry, apple cider.  The only problem I don't usually have all the goodies to make it extra tasty.  Thank goodness for essential oils - I can always have what I need to make it taste extra special, even for guests.
I hope you enjoy this recipe as much as my family and I do!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups apple juice
  • 1 c cranberry juice
  • 3 drops wild orange essential oil
  • 1 drop lemon essential oil
  • 2 toothpicks of clove essential oil*
  • 2 toothpicks of cinnamon essential oil*
*Dip a toothpick in essential oil and stir into juices.  The key here is not getting a whole drop of these spicy oils, which would over power the drink.

Be sure to use oils that are meant to be taken internally.  There are very few companies in which the essential oils are pure enough to be able to do this.  If you are interested in finding out more about the essential oils I use, contact me here.

Directions

Add apple juice and cranberry juice to a pan and warm over medium heat.  When the juices have reached your desired heat, remove from stove top.  Add in essential oils, then mix to combine.  Optional: garnish with a cinnamon stick.  Enjoy!
